Hamsters!

So i thought its a good idea to get ourselves (a) pet, so that mummy and me can work together
to take care of them. Luckily, mummy liked the idea so we went on to get them.

Yup we got ourselves 2 hamsters. I used my fish tank as a cage so we did save some cash on the lodging. Bought the food, bathing powder (green apple), and bedding.
Took us around 10 minutes to set up the hamster tank. Mummy's idea to name them "ah ger" and "ah boy". So we sat around and played with ah ger and ah boy.

Mummy left at this point and ah ger and ah boy became tired. They found a cosy spot and
all the way till current, both of them have been sleeping. Oh they did wake up to eat, then its sleeping time again.



Well we are planning to get them some entertainment soon. Any of you kind souls out there with an old unused hamster wheel can donate them to us!


Singapore Toy and Comic Convention 2008



Auntievon aka mummy took a walk around the convention with me yesterday.
Man the crowd was crazy. As we went there unprepared, we did not take much pictures.
For vinyl toy lovers there were plenty of cool designs on display. There were artists doing live demo. There were several cosplayers there yesterday, more will show up today as theres a CosCon Cosplay Competition at 2pm.
We did not purchase any items, despite my greatest urge to do so. bah!
I guess its no toys for me till i setup my display in my room.

Attended Sinli's 21st Birthday Party yesterday..
Took a long and tedious trip all the way to the SAF Chalet @ Changi..
the chalet is the BEST so far..
spacious and clean and two floors somemore...
but hard to ballet they say...
anyway, the food was damn good!!!
the fried bee hoon, curry chicken, fried prawn, popcorn chicken, spring roll, bbq chicken wings and bbq pork ribs!!!
and all cooked by Sinli's mama...

the birthday cake ordered from Secret Recipe was damn good too!!
it was a chocolate banana cake..
so much bananas inside..
I LOVE BANANAS!!!!
but the weather was super hot so by the time I got home...
I was a goner le....

Its a Boy Girl Thing!



It’s A Boy Girl Thing is a high-jinx romantic comedy about next-door neighbours who live worlds apart. Woody Deane and Nell Bedworth, life-long sworn enemies, wake up one day to find themselves in a very strange place: each others bodies. In their switched identities, each sets about to destroy the other’s high school reputation. When they start to succeed they get more than they bargained for. Sometimes falling in love can be an out of body experience.

A definite show to catch when it opens FINALLY on 3 July 2008. Did you know this show was around since Dec 2006! 2006! my god. And quoting auntie von: " And its only in cinemas next month??!".

Luckily for us, we had a romantic screening of the show today at auntie von's house.

We both liked it very much yea. Will recommend it as a show to watch for all couples out there.
Makes you wonder what will it be like if the switch happened to you and your girl eh?

Go catch it when it opens on 3 July 2008.

p.s: although show has an expected plot, it was way better than "THE HAPPENING".. which has an abstract plot.

You Don't Mess with the Zohan



Its about this agent, Zohan, who fakes his death so he can re-emerge in New York City as a hair stylist. Adam Sandler plays Zohan of course. Well not only does he cut hair but he gives his client special services in the back room too.

Lots of "in-movie" advertisements in this movie, to the point where it is irritating.
Its funny because its stupid and ridiculous (sup' with them kicking the cat around in the living room?) . Script wise, the jokes are not so straight-forward and it will take you awhile to get some of them.

Zohan has an irritating accent, but thumbs up to Adam for maintaining it throughout the show.
Try doing a rendition of Zohan with some of those lines, i bet ya, its not easy.

In my opinion, i did not regret watching this movie...off the internet that is.
Honestly, its not worth your money to watch it in the cinema.
I'll give it 2.5 stars out of 5.

Thats my review on this show. I'll definitely not mess with the Zohan for it almost bore me to sleep.

Course Outline: Mounting a bicycle. Moving off and Balancing on a bicycle. Braking and turning graciously.

Course Remarks: Learning to cycle is tiring. Have lots of bruise now. The cut on my leg is quite deep and it hurts!! So stinging! Another lesson tmr! Uncle Don is a fierce instructor.


So i had this idea to design a t-shirt for dear and myself.
Since printing tees cost a bomb, i decided to bring it down to the basic.

PROJECT ACRYLIC PAINT OUR STENCILED T (BETA)!

Listening to: Coldplay - Viva la Vida (damn good song imo.)
Drinking: Green Tea (tee, get it?)

I had to test if my idea of using a stencil and normal Acrylic paint works
on cotton t-shirt, before getting dear to work with me

So here goes:


Sketched up my design and markered it



Done! now its time to cut out the black markered parts.



Cutting the Markered parts (this is no joke man. Had a tough time
cutting small areas while keeping the whole flimsy paper together)
Note (1) to self: Don't use normal paper



Time to paint!

There, the finished product after i removed the stencil.
Couple of mistakes here, largely due to the use of normal plain paper
as a stencil. Got to fix that.

Setting the acrylic paint by ironing it

Well pretty satisfied with the outcome!

Sucess! Just have to fix a little problem here and there. But im sure with dear's excellent craftwork, we can definitely come up with more elaborate design.
