Just read WT's and JY's blog entry,
so coincidental, both to be on looks, both past and present.

and so coincidentally, Dear & I attended a friend's sister's weeding where they showcased old photos of them since they were young.
Dear exclaimed that he must go dig all those old photos when his time comes,
While I had the anxiety of showcasing my old look.

When I confessed to him,
He even laughed at my hair-style( no style at all).
so bad.

I dun think anybody can win me in terms of my old school look!

I hate Sundays.
Cause I can't get much done.

Tuition sucks up half a day.

Recess week came. and went.
BOOM!!!

so fast. I spent EVERY single day in lab.
9am to 6pm.
I am like so tired that I my head is empty even though my hands are moving.
Just the other day, I forget to cap the centrifuge cap.
Lucky my samples are intact.

And I wash my hands and dried my hands with paper,
intead of throwing away the paper,
I threw away my handphone pouch which was in the other hand.

WAKE UP MAN!
in lab, u gotta be alert.
If not, in the end I will get nothing.

I missed Timbre on Tuesday.
SO WANTED TO GO!!!!
Spent a loving evening with my kidneys and livers in the biosafety cabinet.
128 samples.
Painstakingly dried, loving cut and tediously packaged.
I want to eat the pizza.
Hai. I am always so suay.
They just had to come and renovate the shit on that day.
Ended up at home 11PM, shagged.

Woke up next day 6AM.
Travel to sch to collect samples.
Travelled to NIE to prepare samples.
Travelled back to sch to continue lab.
Never ending never ending never ending work.

I feel so lagged compared to peers.
Sometimes you just hate waking up in the morning.
It happens to me.
Here's a few reasons:

(a) 2 mid-terms, 1 assignment, 1 presentation, 2 projects to do BUT no time.
(b) endless readings to do BUT no time.
(c) never ending tired-ness BUT no time.

Side track,
there are really people who annoy you.
No matter what comes out from their mouth,
they just annoy me.
Is it I suay to always let u catch OR
are you simply too alert?

just finish drawing my assingment (111)-(4x4).
too tired to continue and too tired to think of how to write it.
I dun even understand it in the first place.

YAY!!! YIPPIE!!
weekend again! And a long one too!
Lucky I din't have to head back to lab, so I stealed some time to went out on the roads!

Wanted to head to Hard Rock Cafe since Dear haven been there, and I thought he did like it there.
So we went for a little walk around before heading there for dinner.

The Forum has a nice big Toys'r'us.
Seems like they are selling alot of Halloween stuff and Dear even managed to pose with a skull! LOL! Kinds of suits him huh.

There we ordered HRC's Legendary 10Oz. Burger which is really large!
Dear attempted to eat it in a normal burger way but it just sorts of "jek tio" the jaws.
Better not take the risk, just cut it.
The filling was really yummy with cheese, onion rings, bacon and a thick beef batty!
Also order nachos. which is really toooo big a plate for us to finish! So wasted!

Anyway, recently Dear and I bought these 2 bags online. It's only 2 bags right?
But it was sent by Speedpost and there was nobody to receive it at home when it came.
So had to go down to Singpost Paya Lebar to collect it.

Was I shock to see it??

Week five ended. OMG. wadever.

Managed to catch Moon with Dear even though it means sitting 2nd row from the front.

Had wanted to catch "The Cove" under J&J's recommendation but the timing wasn't correct.
So we caught Moon instead after checking the trailer out.

This film is exclusive at The PictureHouse for the Israel Film Festival.
Got a full house and most of the people in-house are caucasions.
Apparently Moon directed by Duncan Jones scooped the Michael Powell Award for Best New British Feature Film, sponsored by the UK Film Council.
Genre is supposed to Sci-Fic. Am not really in to Sci-Fic but tot that this film was marvellous.!
But then, everything happened either in front of a blue screen or in a studio. Only a one man show plus a robot. LOL.
Try catching it, it's definitely worth the watch if you like some abstract plot and of cos, u love some space-out.
Haha!

That aside, I am eagerly waiting for my Omnia in Luxury Brown to arrive at my door-step.
Haha, hope it's good cos it's specs are actually quite nice and the budget was within what I could afford.
Black was OOS, so I had to settle for Luxury Brown, which I thought was classy and stylish too!

Spotted a few a FEP with JY the other time, but our concern was "what's the probability of wearing it??"

They probably dun have life.

Knocked off early on Friday and went to NTU to meet Dear.
We had Western Food at Can14 and also had a lil chat with Ben.
The heart-to-heart talk between men, and I am just a little woman.

What happened over the week & weekend.

Weekdays:

Lab after lab,no results still.
Feeling so demoralised n tired.
Lab is so tiring.
It just like drains every single bit of your energy.
And when you finally get home, you realise that you are not really free.
COS YOU ARE STUCK WITH SO MANY JOURNAL READINGS TO DO!
the times I am home (and awake) is barely 5hrs daily.
This is the life I am gonna have for the next one yr.

One week flew past ever since school started!

FAST ~~

been so long since I last blogged, surf the Net & FB, visiting my friend's blog..
feel so out of touch with 'em..
Been too pre-occupied with being cooped up in the lab.
And I am really cut off from the outside world when I am in lab, cos there's no recep.
ARghhh~ maddening!

It's really very tiring, I am forcing myself to rmb how to do everything that LF is teaching me now.
I have to and I am determined to!
She is flying off on Wed so means I have to be independent.

But the first week only and I am officially strucked down by flu.
Such tough luck.
Not H1N1 so no fret there.

I feel lucky for having a good & friendly mentor, and also the other friendly personels in lab.
Somehow it makes everything more welcoming.

Just recieved email to have my NMR training next week.
means I will have to skip a lecture to go for the training.
Oh mans, I hate skipping lectures.
Also saw Yurong's name in it, so haha there's gonna be a familiar face there!

been so busy that u.Don has been rather lonely these few days.
managed to accompany him on Sat, just dinner n dessert.
that's the best way to relax on a weekend - i feel.

Hope Dear can get me Ben's laptop sleeve. Haha, IF it fits..

I really need to do some shoppping for school wardrobe.!
I shall jio some jie-meis to go shopping, when we all have the time!

For now, I am gonna start to do my reading of notes for the week.

Boring talks one after another today.
It was the Lab Safety Talks today at school for all the Honours student.

A thick handout was provided to us. Yucks.
Totally din listen at all. Me and JY yak-ed while Toh slept thru.
The only part we paid attention to was the First-Aid part!
The speaker was real funnie and a great deal can be learnt!
It was inspirational for me to become a first aider.

I want to be a certified one.
Googled and found that some organisation was offering the course for like SGD250.
Red Cross has a somewhat similar course for $90.
Oh wells,
wait till I have the money then say ba.

Two tea breaks were provided.
I suppose that was all what we were looking forward to every now and then.
It kept us going thru those boring talks.

Until it was 430 and the test came!
YEA!
there was gonna be a test and we din pay any attention at all.
Guess what?
The only part that was NOT tested was the First-Aid part!
HAHAHHAHA we found it an irony!

Anyway, the test was open-book.
We just fen gong he zhuo and finished it.
Copied and trusted each other's answer like free.
LOL.

Just glad that is is over.

just a side note,
FB kernard DOS attack.
it was a simultaneous one affecting LJ, Twitter and Blogger.
Yup heard it on the news and googled it.
Haa, interesting reads there.

Teochew porridge was smth me and Dear love!
so we decided to go for a Teochew Buffet dinner at the Windsor Hotel along Macpherson Road.
Reviews has it that it is value-for money.

So we went ahead.
Time stated on the menu was buffet starts at 5PM.
we reached at 5pm and the waiter ignored us.
the food wasn't ready yet, not all.
we started on the porridge and preserved stuff.

the main dishes consisted of fried noodles, fish, prawns, green veg, cabbage, egg, braised pork, toufu, chicken and pork.
i dun particularly like them, but it was edible.
desserts was ice-cream and fruits(which Dear cant even force himself to swallow)..

Dear created this er-xin stain on the mirror while plucking prawns!
Grossss, hope the waiter wipes it off..
unsightly!

managed to get off the hook to go lab this week,
so at least I get to relaxed for that very bit until school starts next week.

went shopping with Dear yesterday.
He wanted to get himself a mouse and also some berms for school start..
While I just wanted to get the fun of shopping and buy on impulse lol..
I am trying to control ok..

So we headed to bugis where we got Dear two similar looking berms, cheap at only 2 for $25.
and the stall tenders were 2 brothers who look so much alike that I mistaken them one for another while Dear was changing.
no wonder he gave me such a quizzical look.
he had absolutely no idea what was i talking about cos I was talking to the wrong guy LOL..

outing got cancelled today,
so I stayed home to clean out my wardrobe and also my MESSSSSSSSSY table!
well it's a practice i practise every time just before school starts..
i cleaned out a whole bag of unwanted clothings.
Mostly Old/out-of-fashion/lost interest in them.
stuffing them into the store room to make way, less my mother complains again..

My t60 is now out on the living room coffee table for common use.
I am ULTRA happy with my new X200 laptop!
It's like a baby...
It's good money spent, and it was hard to save up for it!

oh did I mention that I was Ultra-happy?

u.Don haven really been able to blog these days cos of some error on his IE..

wonder what's the problem..

so, if you had rmbered from the previous post, u.Don had a little surprise for me!
it was a handmade ring! filled with a table of sushi and also an ornament of green (my fav colour!)

so why was this done? it wasn't really new, u.Don had done a box of miniature food for me 2 yrs ago for V. day for me.. it looked like this!

anyways, u.Don managed to get his hands on some really expensive clay..
or so he told me to NOT waste any, and he chided me for dropping them on the floor.
oh wells and with baby oil and what nots..
it was a tedious process..
he created this lovelies from his artistic hands and hand-painted them..
it was really fun to sculp this little things but it's really hardwork..
the smaller it is, the harder it gets!

I had the ever great job of glazing the soon-to-be finished product!
and ta-da!!!

psst: this was done in effort to NOT waste clay... cos i spoilt some of dear's clay..

Dear also made a remodel of the Mousehunt's mouse! It looks so cool!

I have finally decided on my new laptop baby!
decided not to get the S10 netbook, probably too small and too lag to run all my multi-tasking applications!
so I decided to get back my good old LENOVO!
although it's not really pretty and stylish, but I like it for it's matt and traditional look.
I am so happy and can't wait to get her!

She's the Lenovo Thinkpad series X200!
It's a nice deal to get it for SGD1,999..
a lil hefty sum there but Dear says it's definitely a GOOD DEAL!
It weighs only 1.7kg with 6 cell battery and only 12.1" screen!
Ultra-portable I tell you..
plus I get a FREE 4GB upgrade and a FREE external DVD drive!
Now I can bring her to school easily!

Only draw back is the lack of a touch-pad, so I gotta get used to the touch point or use a mouse!
But I am just glad to be able to get a new laptop! with a battery pls!
my current one is battery deficient, what good is a laptop without a battery!

my printer died on me. finally bot one from Courts. No more HP for me, Brother is the way to go, with some third-party ink hahaaaa can save money!

Finally sem is starting, already fed up with my laptop. So i have finally saved up for it. A new one!
Haven really decided which to go, but shall get one with a 12.1" screen, so that I can bring to sch everyday! Something light and portable.!
u.Don has advised me against a netbook. Cos it would be slow to run PS and applications espcially when I do multi-tasking.
Probably too used to Intel Centrino Duo Core to get used to a Intel Atom lol.
So with the recent National Day, there are bound to be some sort of promotions.
Hopefully I can decide soon enuff which to get.

gonna be a lazt post, since im quite lazy today..

went shopping with u.Don last week, and since I was early from a lunch meeting,
I decided to went to walk at Topshop at Raffles City Shopping Centre.
Hahaha! I am really glad I did cos I found some nice picks there!

Bought 2 ribbled tanks, one purple and one yellow at only SGD9 each! It's such a rare find and there's only 2pcs of my size left! So lucky! The purple one is from Dorothy Perkins, it has such a nice neckline i think!

also bought a baseball jersey for u.Don and myself, also at 9 bucks only! Can u believe it!

Then, bought u.DOn 2 pairs of berms. Really inspiring colours. Sorry no photos here, u'll know them when u see them'.

Sort of needed a pair of sneakers for lab, so my original intent was to buy the Van's half Cab, I really like it, but if I want it I will have to ship it in, I cant find one in SG!!

It would really be lovely to wear this to school! I want! HUMPH!

Then I saw the Timberland Boat shoes. Love them too! But it's way too expensive for me to afford it! Booo!

Actually I tot this slips ons from Crocs was cute too, but u.Don says it sux, oh wells!

In the end, I bot a pair of Macy slip ons from Lee Cooper. Really Love the colour and cut of the shoe, it's gonna be great for lab!!

I think I will still buy the half cab if I can find it! and if it's affordable! So tell me if you know it sells somewhere okies!

Been deciding on whether I should purchase my Lenovo netbook. It's the S10 I am talking about.

Really cool and light-weight. Just what I need! So that I can bring it to school everyday! Or should I get that full-fledged laptop X200? u.Don says it has much more processing power, lest I become pek chek!

Haaaa, dunno la, it's so cool to carry this netbook. Shall I just go for looks?

Schools starting..

Boo hoo!

Still eating like a pig and watching Discovery Channel with Dear on the couch the whole day..

And when me and Dear head out, it's for food!

Just ate at the Japanes Concept food court at Northpoint called Ishi Mura (recommended by J&J)..

It's good and reasonable priced! Had omelette rice while Dear had the stone bowl rice.

SUPER filling! And we shared a pao pao cha *twinkles in the eye*

Really pei fu ourselves, travelled all the way there to eat at the food court LOL.

And then I had a ILLUSION again, just like the Guitar Girl Illusion.

I saw a auntie as we were coming down the escalator.
And then I exclaimed to Dear," Wah seh, the auntie so havoc!"
Dear gave a nonchalent laugh (apparently he din think that the auntie was havoc at all).
As we approached near her, I realised that I was having this illusion!
Guess what!

She was actually wearing this red capris and navy blue top. Just below the navy blue a thick strip ofoff white lines.
And SO I envisioned the auntie to be wearing a top THAT short only up till her belly button and she was flashing off her stomach area in public!!
WAHAHAHA I know I am so far-fetched!
But I really have these crazy illusions sometimes!
I really love them..

Lastly, I love imitating Auntie Lucy & Mr. I Love Singapore in front of Dear.
It is damn Funnie.

actually this is news like several weeks ago, but I dunno why I had made it till now to say it. ha.

GlamRags has progressed much without me, which is a good thing.
For all you know, I may be the 老鼠屎.
It is kinda sad and stuff but it was a decision I had to make.
Hopefully, GR will progress with flying colours!
I wish them the best of luck.

The main reason for leaving GR is to help U.Don with business.
I dun think I will be able to manage both sides, so I guess my heart lies more with U.Don side.

updates updates

attended WT's commencement on Wednesday, after a gruelling battle with STARS for some NTU peeps..
Attending commencement makes me feel like I wanna graduate, gonna miss many once the sem starts..
It was really a mixed feelings kind of thing so I also dunno..
I wonder how it will be like when it is my turn to graduate...

Thursday was a last minute hop to school to meet LF.
apparently got some changes to the procedure in my FYP, so we sort of have a discussion..
the amended content seems to be great, and like more prestigous..
so probably Boss likes it better..
I dunno also..
Gotta do my prep and hope for the best..
Reading journals are mind boggling..
I dun understand the technical stuff...

Friday was our tee trial collection day!
Result was satisfactory!!
Shall be heading ahead with our operation alpha..
but before that must get our finances right!

Saturday was photoshoot plus Fright Night under QN's request.
photoshoot was fun, we managed to do some at the Malaysian Railway along BT, but then we were scared that the man will come and scold us..
so we left quickly..
then we went NP to take.. LOL and we had to brave the rain to get to BTP..
had some nice korean food there and off to the Fright Night..
stupid us got off one stop too early, and walked into the estate..
then walked 2 stops too far down, and had to walk back to the correct stop..
heh heh chuan lor..
and we met at Watten Park, got transported to an abandoned villa on top of the hill like 4km away..
the debriefing was scary la, like telling you not to call ur partner's name on the way in case kernard possessed..
scared the hell out of me..
Dear was scared too but he had to be strong to console me haha!!

Actually, the walk wasn't scary..
SOW one was like way scarier!!
But Hall 5 did a good job of finding that house la..
creepy house owned by the State..
hope their actual Fright Night will turn out well!

and we actually ran into the same 74 bus driver..
he recognised us!!
and even said Hi to us!

-finally finally finally-

finally again, for settling my FYP project.
u.Don & my friends would have known that I was close to depression over the weekend.
all thanks to me la,
last minute wanna change area of focus.

was really really afraid that I would end up Prof-less.
the thought of it was scary enough.
never was I so helpless.
the worst thing that could happen was when you step into the room and the prof just says,
"the project you are interested in has already been taken up"
those words can like just cause you to go blank for 2 mins.!

woke up early,
travelled to school.
LF said that she was gonna choose today.
I was nervous. plain nervous.
shan't elaborate the whole story here,
don't think it was very nice.

I felt cold in my hands and feet even though I was a successful candidate.
the look of disappointment on the other candidates' face was ____________.
I felt so bad, and it's like so cruel.
and one of them is my friend.
it was like the worst situation ever.
it's a Dog-eat-dog situation, although I feel sorry for them, but there's really nth I can do..

I still rmb the girl's look when she turned away from my line of eye sight.
Horrible.

but still I thank those who had prayed for me,
those who had supported me.

Having the past few days' afternoon free, I decided to display my DIY ~~talent~~ skills once again!

This time I did my very own pair of Destroyed denim shorts.
If you have been already updated with the fashion news, you would have already known that these are the hottest this Summer.
Many high-end brands are retailing these shorts at sky-price (at least to me..)

So, to save cost, I decided to DIY my very own pair..!
Inspired by F21:

And I tot I was very brave to cut up my pair of acid-wash jeans even though I was new to this project!

Ha! So this was how my original pair looked like!

It was simple, just find the length that u desire and cut it about 2 fingers width beneath it (cos I was gonna fold it back up).
Next fray the ends using either the tip of the scissors or a seam ripper until you get that rugged feel. Cut any stray strings that are coming loose.
Fold back up the ends and do a top-stitch as close to the frayed ends as possible. This will prevent running ends.

To destroy the denim, I used a variety of tools.
I used a pen knive to do rapid slashing at the area I wanted to destroy. (Rmb to place a block of wood or a thick wade of paper beneath to prevent the slashing from going onto the next layer.)
These slashings would create tears in the material.
Further destroy until desired by using scissors and seam ripper. (you may find that it may not be a very controlled process with all the ripping LOL!)
It is important to note that the place will become uber messy with all the fabric dust flying around. So be prepared!

After you have destroyed the denim to the look that you expect, you will need to prepare a bucket of water (no detergent required if your jeans are already clean to begin with).
Rinse it with force to allow all the fabric dust to be eluted into the water.
From my experience, this has to be done like say 10 tens because there really is ALOT of fabric coming out!
Dry the denim in the sun.

To create that dirty, muddy look.
Prepare a small pail with bleach. Mix in a little water to that it is not too strong. I believe a ratio of 8:2 (bleach:water) is appropriate.
Use a sponge (wear gloves to avoid contact with bleach) and dab the sponge into the bleach.
Dab the sponge around areas previously destroyed and also on random parts of the shorts until desired effect.
Either blow-dry the areas or sun it again.

There you have it!
Your one and unique pair of destroyed denim shorts!
Pair it with tank or tee and you are ready to go!

So this was how mine turned out:

Finally went to watch Transformers: The Revenge of the Fallen today!
I thought it was a great show!
Absolutely love all the transforming and the freaking funny speech..
Despite being a weekday, it was full house for the show!

Before the show, me & Dear wanted to kill some time..
so He suggested to go arcade to play this gaming machine that got a lot a lot alot a lot of menthos!
you noe the one that pushes the mentos forward?? yup that's it!

apparently, he went with his gang to play this game and caught me 2 cute little elmos!
imagine a whole gang of 22 year old guys crowding around the machine to catch elmos..

So we went, and ta-da!
based on my winning skills, I caught us a pair!
Wahaha!! flaunting this right in Dear's face!
I am so happy!
First time so zhun!!
Mai siao siao, Dear said I was born to do this ahaaaa!!

Recently, whenever I was cooped up at home, drama was my best companion..
So up till now, I have completed several dramas..

That's what I did today,
all to go jogging with Dear!!
Pitch black 0630 when we left, started from my house and we jogged all the way to Serangoon Stadium.!
Not too bad considering I so long never run!

But I am still tired.. from waking up so early!
But if I dun run, I will get fat!

LOL.. but after the run we had prata.
So yea, sorts of even out..

u.Don & I saw the FREE Bum Boat Ride they were offering in conjunction with the Singapore River Festival..
So We thought why not?
Gotta give it a try to be a true Singaporean!

So we decided to go ahead and purchase Dear's blazer suit (it was his Birthday gift) and head down for the ride..
Thanks to the purchase, I am now an official G2000 prestige card member!
Wheepie!
I can now get my formal clothings!

So we headed down to Clark Quay to find the pier where we board..
Turns out that the FREE ride was oni like 10mins (not a full one), we felt cheated but went for it anyway..
Oni 2 rides were available: 1930 and 2030, and only available to the First 45 passengers.
Lucky we were there early! We were like the Top Ten in line!
Wheeee! Singapore Kiasu-ism syndrome..

Turns out that photo shots arent nice cos of the moving boat..
So most of our photos were blurrrrred and dark..
The river breeze and scenery was great and relaxing..
Too bad it was so short..

Yup so that's it!
Still it was a fun ride!

Had a cooking session today with Auntievon at my house!
With Auntievon as the Head Chef, I played the role as an Assistant Chef.

Dishes for today: Katsu Curry Don with Miso Soup!

We went Hougang Point to shop for our ingredients. Saw some ingredients to make Cha Soba which Auntievon strongly objected me from buying. zzz

My role was simple..follow the head chef's instructions.
"cut the carrot"
"peel the potato"
"stir leh.."

So i was tasked to prepare the curry and Miso Soup. Which i think i pulled it off. My Miso soup is damn nice man. (Auntievon is going to inform you guys that its instant Miso Soup and probably brainless to cook it.)

Auntievon soloed frying the chicken. Great job there marinating and coating it with breaded crumbs..we sort of bought the wrong one though..bought the one for tempuras. Our Katsu looked like fried tempuras haha.

Whaaha almost had a problem with the curry as the carrots and the potatoes just won't soften enough. Well we pulled it off anyways.

Today's outing with U.Don got cancelled cos he wasn't feeling too well..

Since my Dumpling purse, U.Don's friend has asked about the possibility of sewing a BBF bag.
So I tot since I have the time, why not get my hands busy trying one out.

Hence, I sourced out my materials and begin the pain-staking procedure..
I started at 11AM and it was completed at 6PM.
My longest project so far..

Materials include: one old blouse, scrap cloth, one old belt, one zipper, 2pcs of wire fastner, sewing machine.

From what I saw over the Net, most BBF bags manufactured by the individuals who own their own BBF are all not very pretty. Mostly vintage, and slip-shot.

For mine, it has a size of 8"x5"x5.5". Can hold my water bottle, wallet, camera, gorilla pod, coin purse, tissue. No problem at all.

If you have a BBF and want to have one done, contact me. I presume I can do it for u on a budget of $40-50. heh.

I decided to search for a project to embark on..
Im too lazy to improve on my prototype tank top, I need something simpler and finishable in a short time..

They are good to hold my sewing pins and needles too.

On a sunny, Humid Saturday afternoon,
U.Don and A.Von took a bus from home and den a train to Ponggol Station,
a place where lands are barren and most of the activity there is construction..

there, we waited for the scheduled Free shuttle Service to the Marina Country Club..

We paid for a rod and some bait and started prawning..
Of cos, U.Don has his own way of prawning..

In between, we had a mini picnic consisting of the food we prepared in the morning..

Some Bacon wrapped quill eggs and hot dogs..

Tasty Von Specialty Sardine Sandwiches!

After 3hrs of battle, We caught a grand total of 16 prawns!
There they are, still slightly kicking in the tupperware!

Sweaty and smelly, we still cared for some photos!
Never an opportunity missed!

Double Victory for us!

And then, we had to catch the shuttle back..
Dinner was served with the steamed prawns as a dish!
Never were we so satisfied!

We decided to have a go at a little trekking.. All the way from NUS to Harbourfront, using the connectors that were built to facilitate this purpose.
All in all we took close to around 4Hrs odd and with the Sun beating down on us, we finally managed to do it!

As the Monkey MaMa got up to leave, with the Monkey Baby still clinged on her under-side, she crossed the road with all four limbs... As soon as she was safe on the pavement (Monkey Baby still clinged on yea), Monkey PaPa climbed onto her swiftly and had a quikie with her! So we witness the Monkey family Sex-ing in public!
So much for a protective PaPa.. ~~

My 22nd Birthday Continued!

We hang around in taka till 6pm before heading towards Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel for our buffet dinner!

We had a tour around the hotel! took some pictures here and there as we were a lil early!

Ahhh finally the start of our International Buffet!

The oyster here is heavenly man! thank god its a buffet so we had an oyster fest. Each of us down 10 oyster each! haha totally making our money worth here. Oh btw they are having a one for one deal for all UOB card holders! thumbs up for that.

We wacked the prawn too! and those sashimi is so so fresh!

Some Oriental delights that we took for tasting. We did not went for more helpings as there were rather ordinary in taste..so yea..

Ok Guys check this picture out. I told Auntievon that this LOOKS like a giant fondue machine but she was bent on convincing me its a VASE! i know its a vase man im saying it looks like a fondue machine...check out the chocolate flowing down from the top!

So at some corner of the buffet area, Auntievon found some big prawns! check out the difference in size! they are hard to pluck too! oh for the record, i did the shelling of all the prawns that day! Auntievon is so lucky..

We took a slice of other cheese. Livarot, Cheddar, Brie and Port Salute. Wow Livarot is the killer man! it has an overwhelming rotting taste..damn, i almost had those oysters coming out of my oesophagus after taking a bite of Livarot. Never taste that shit again! period.

Our Seminar! Grow your overseas Business with IE Singapore @ Little Red Dot.

So this is the first seminar that we signed up on our own accord.
Dressed all in formal and armed with namecards, we attended this talk to learn about venturing overseas.

Man Auntievon and I were struck by sooo many high ranking businessman! damn we felt so inferior and immature here. While the rest are talking about the economy and related business, auntievon and I were chatting about what to eat later.

Well, the most childish sentence that was spoken that day was: "say people say yourself!". And it was the both of us that spoke that line!

Well we managed to networked with Mr Williams from Raynet Tech Pte Ltd. He shared with us some valuable ideas about starting up and stuff. Nice! Really made us think its time to grow up and play the game with the big boys!

Overall, we felt it was a great experience, but it was rather stressful being surrounded by so many Managing Directors and CEO.

Sunday -

Had a cup of afternoon coffee at Ya Kun..
Kind of like the seventies rewind..

After that we are off to Jing Ying's belated birthday celebration at the Marina Barrage.
It was the first time we are heading there, lucky there was a free shuttle bus or else it would have been quite hard to get there.
With the school holidays and the weekend, many parents seized the opportunity to bring their kids there.
Many activities were going on, flying kite, photo taking, picnic, frisbee etc..

Totally sweated it out playing frisbee and trying to fly the kite ourselves!
Had a great work-out!

The night fell and we sang a nice birthday song for our birthday girl!
Each of us had a huge slice of the cake because we only had seven people to share the cake!

Aft the hearty meal, we decided to do yet another physically strenuous activity - JUMP SHOTS!
And we tried doing it we the timer!
TEN TIMES and all got screwed up.
Each time there was a new Rat Shit (Lao Shu Shi), and people who say they caught the timing always fail us again!

Our trip to the Circle Line in our bid to shun the intolerable Sun.
Pleasant trip, everything very clean and white, lots of friendly staff and many first-time travellers to the line.
Quoting UncleDon," In comparison, NEL looks so dusty."
Which is true.
Over at the Circle line, The lighting is so bright and it is so spacious!
Definitely a cool place to visit, even though it wun be used much in our daily travel route.

the busy-ness has got to me.
I hate this period of time at NUS.
It sux with all the deadlines.

A trip home with friends can really make me realise many things.
I received my later from MOE.
Really happy that they offered me a Teaching Position with the Education system.
BUt, I hope there is space at NIE to accomodate me in 1 yrs time.

I think I am suppose to look for my Hons FYP prof.
like soon.
BUT I still can't decide what to do.
What if no prof wants me?
Not like my grads are fantastic.
This sux.

I just wanna do my Hons,
get my Hons (2nd Lower by the way),
not like I am a threat to anybody.
not like I am trying to aim anything higher.
just graduate and go teach for the rest of my life.
just let me do it.
stop making this so difficult.

and just this afternoon, like 4hrs ago, I attended my interview @ MOE..
it went quite well but still, it was agreed that it was hard to decide if we met the mark..
the superintendent was more than friendly, the principle was friendly and the teacher was the benchmark of friendliness..
Was glad that I had prepared beforehand, and the questions being thrown at me were not stunners..
I do hope that I will be successful and be addressed as "Miss Lau"..!!
we'll noe in 2-3 weeks time, as the interviewer had informed me..

so now with the updates in my mind,
I have to get back to CM3232 where I am somewhere in between a small box, where density of states exist and my energy is quantized..

About Day out with two fellow Chemists!!

Day to buy my formal wear at Bugis..
Haha, after a walk around Bugis Village, the three of us had to leave hastily to prevent ourselves from spending MORE money..
After our very budget LONG JOHN SILVER S$3.95 dinner..
we made our way to Haji Lane.
mai siao siao ok, Miss Teo was the one who lead us there...
Had our own photoshoot right there and then..
There were many on-lookers but Who Cares!
We also made our way to the ROYALLY beautiful ParkView Sqaure..
Night has fallen and all the more, it looks majestic in the dark..
And so I shall let the photos do the explanation as to why we got so many stares..

About The Best Valentines' Day ever - 140209

This years valentines' day had two parts to it, Part 1 was on Friday evening, when Dear presented me with his specially ordered flowers! They were so pretty! I love them!! Following which we headed to the Army Market for a simple fare of dinner plus shopping for my backpack! Backpack was sponsored by UncleDon! Wheee, just a simple evening but I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Glad auntiveon loved the flowers and the balloon which was so hard to transport over due to the massive crowd in the train. The balloon kept hitting the head of the other passengers. ahha

Part 2 was Saturday evening!
We had our romantic bbq at the Labrador Nature Reserve!
Before that, we did shopping at Giant Vivomart!
I shall leave UncleDon to describe our shopping experience...

We bought our stuff to bbq: 1 pax chicken drumlets, 1 pax chicken wings, 1 pax corn, 1 pax beef, 1 pax hotdog, 1 pax sotong balls and sweet potato. Auntievon is so auntish at choosing sweet potatoes. I guess i stood there for like half an hour while she chose the best. We threw a $8 plus salmon at some corner of Giant as it was too expensive!

We lugged all our barang barang to Labrador..
The scenery was awesome!
we wasted no time and UncleDon quickly got the fired started while I got the food marinated!!
I was really a wise choice to buy the more expensive marinade!!
Made our chicken wings taste really high class!!

During dinner, I presented UncleDon with a surprise!
Just a keychain that I tot is rather cute to go with our backpacks!

Thanks for the keychain and the handmade card dear. I guess i will be known as "ED"

As we enjoyed the sea view and cool breeze at our dinner table,
we took some photos!

The corn is the best lo! and the Hot hot cream of mushroom soup! so clever of us to send it boiling using the charcoal!

I thought it was already quite a spread for the two of us!

After dinner, we cleared up all the stuff and turned the tablecloth into a poncho..
laid it on the grass and relaxed..
Definitely a very nice way of spending the night..

National Vertical Marathon

8th Feb finally come, the day where we will climb Republic Plaza.
This plaza along Cecil Street:

Race details:
Climb up 60 stories of this building without fainting, puking, crying, cramping or any of those other nonsense.

This is UncleDon's first Vertical challenge!
We happily joined the Lover's Challenge category!
Honestly, with my past experience of Swissotel Vertical Marathon,
this one is tougher!
Albeit lesser stories, it seem harder to climb cos the number of steps were more!!
Plus, it was different to climb alone and with UncleDon.
Climbing with UncleDon was such a pleasure,
he always stayed behind or beside me, ensuring my safety!
His hands never left my waist, where he supported me throughout the journey!
Tired and panting, both of us finally made it to the top - HAND IN HAND!!!
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPIE!!

Totally shagged out after the climb...
As we rumaged through the goodie bag, we were pleased to find 2 tees in it!
We thought the Zuji.com tee has an innovative slogan on it,
pls see photos for reference..
We just sat down at the steps where we recovered from our excited state..
Our buttocks left behind two sweat patches..
Too bad the camera couldn't capture the image..

After that, we had a mini photoshoot with the tees!! So we got 3 sets of photos as shown below!
YAY!

Intended plan was to go do some other stuff, but UncleDon say that we HAVE to succumb to our tiredness..
so we just guai guai headed home to rest..

This was just after the rest, we wore our Jersey for the occassion!

Uncledon and Auntievon Saturday Food Hunt!!
So Auntievon's craving for prata was not met yesterday and that drove us to hunt for tasty tasty prata!

Auntievon suggested "The Prata Place" after reading reviews off the net! So we were down to have a taste ourselves!

Take Bus Service 138 or 169 from Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange and alight at Opp Nessea Club

Ok the reason we are able to take these pictures is because we got down one stop earlier!
No matter a short walk before a heavy prata meal is definitely worth it!

Well this is it! The Prata Place.

And the interior...
Well, shop layout inside is simple without any fanciful decoration as compared to First Thai Food that we went yesterday.

And the menu!
Ok prata prices are $0.90 (kosong) upwards! Speciality Prata range from $1.50 - $3.50
Soup prices are around $3 onwards and drinks are a $1++
We managed to snap a few shots of the menu for your reference. Not very fanciful but..yea..

Alrighty! Its...

CHEW IT time! - Review of da fooood!

For the first time, we did not order the normal kosong prata that we will usually do. We tried out their famous Banana Prata ($2.50), opted for a Mushroom&Egg Prata ($2.70), Kambing Soup served with bread ($3.50), Mutton Mutabak Small ($5) a Teh Terik ($1.20) and a Teh Haliah ($1.40). If you think that the prata are expensive, it really isnt! The servings were huge and ample enough to do sharing!

Takes around 10-15 minutes before the food arrives!

Meanwhile...

The Banana Prata

This is really good i must say. The banana flavor here is really strong and are well spread out.
So you won't get a huge area where there is no banana fillings. Well, the only word of caution is that this prata really taste like a desert. And banana, prata and curry sauce actually tasted a little weird. So i would really recommend eating it as it is. No harm trying.

Mushroom and Egg Prata

The mushroom servings here is really good! Auntievon managed to dig out a mushroom so huge its the size of your ear (kidding, its huge though).

Mutton Mutabak (small)

Ok when they say small, they don't mean it. Seriously. This serving is not at all small. The layer of flour here is rather thin and crispy so you are not totally overwhelmed by it, allowing you to really taste whats inside. Chopped Onions and Minced Mutton are generous here. So big ups to that!

The Holy Kambing Soup!
This one cost $3.50 and its definitely worth the money! The soup is simply delicious and the serving here lasted us throughout the course of our meal. We ended up dipping our prata in the soup rather than the curry!
If you are heading here, first thing to order is their soup, even before you choose the prata..

We give this place a 4/5. Oh yea..just to point out we chose this place over Casuarina because there were reviews over their lack of service there..Since this is a branch of Casuarina, the prata here probably taste just as good.

Uncledon And Auntievon Quest for Food and much more!

Uncledon and Auntievon met as early as 11am for a business trip down to have our organisers printed! Thanks to Auntievon we settled for a cheaper printing and binding price!

Food Hunt

To satisfy auntievon's craving for prata we decided to head down to this location:

Location: 145 Kitchener Road (10 mins walk from Farrer Park Mrt)

How to get there:

1) Exit Farrer Park @ Exit H (currently under renovation)

We took Exit G instead!

2) Locate Kitchener Road and walk along it!

3) 8 - 10 Minutes later! Booyah! Achaya Kari!

But our happiness were shortlived when we were greeted by the metal steel gate and a sign that said:

"Closed from 120109 t 160109!!!!" Damn! Missed it by one day!

With much disappointment and hunger, we decided to walk to a Thai Restauant at Purvis Street

Recommended by auntievon we head down to this location. Auntievon is great at directions! I will be totally lost if not for her in-built GPS.

One step into this restaurant and we were assured that we are going to have on hell of an authentic thai dinner that night. The shop is very cooling despite it being open-air. To cool down its customers from a spicy dinner, the shop is well serviced with many ceiling fans.

The shop is well decorated with old fashioned paintings (thai-style) and flowers. The whole place and concept makes you feel as though you are in Thailand, well at least for the span of your dinner. This shop house has its interiors decked out with ceramic tiles and mosaic floors!

Service is great! Food comes fast and staffs are friendly.

CHEW IT- Review of da fooood!

Well, Im going to mention about the price first yea.. If you are looking for a cheap meal, this is not a place to go! Prices of each dish starts at $8. Drinks go up to $3 per cup.

Here is our take on the food!

First to arrive was the Tom Yum (Seafood) soup which cost $7. The proportion was a disappointment and the first impression made you feel cheated. But when you start to dig in, the genuine thai spicy and sour taste will make you feel a little better. Seafood helpings are very generous, 3 succulent prawns in each soup with many slices of fish and squid.

Pineapple rice ($8) was delicious and fragrant. The rice was topped with pork floss which added to the fragrance of the rice. For first timers, i would recommend you to choose other rice/noodle dishes other than pineapple rice, perhaps they would prove to be more unique than this.

The one that left a mark on our taste buds was the Chicken Feet Salad ($8). Wow. simply wow.

The spiciness of this dish is over the top! But most of the credit will have to be given to the way the chicken feet is prepared. Its so so crunchy... together with the other vegetables in the salad, this dish is heavenly.

Overall, the dinner was a unique and enjoyable one for both of us. Its a pity that we were only able to try 3 of the many unique dishes available. We will definitely go back to this place to dine again. We recommend you to bring at least 4 people on each trip there, its much more worth it though!

Finally got it - The day that I will tidy my room..
It has been pretty much of a mess ever since the last sem, just that it has been progressively worsen..
In view of the starting of a new sem, the New Year and also the Lunar New Year, I have decided to be a good girl and tidy up my room..

In the midst of it, I still had fun and took photos of my belongings..
some unearthed after a long time...

ok but than I always wear that same few belts..

Third, I unearthed all the love letters dear wrote to me some years back..
reading those letters again brought back memories..
can see all the effort he has put in..
now that we are all busy,
such letters are few and rare but I will cherish every one of them...
and I took pics of the stuff toys UncleDon sewed long ago..
I really love them..
Tho nth fanciful, they are always on my shelf, accompanying me..

Finally, after 4 gruelling hours of packing, cleaning, vacumming, mopping,
the result of this !!

I am so satisfied with my work!!

About 23-12-08 : Trip to Velocity's Lao Beijing
went on an outing with Ivan, Gary, Tian Guang, Ying Rui, WenTing, Jing Yeen, Johnson for a Dim Sum Buffet @ Lao Beijing..
For only S$10.80++, we get a spread of dim sum!!
Altho we all agreed that the variety wasn't there as @ Yum Cha, but I have to say that their food was delicious..
Tho we kept saying we full already but still we continued to eat and eat and Eat and EAT!!!
Until we very, Very, VERY FULL!!
Especially love that Cong You Bing, Guo Tie...
YUM YUM!!
After the food we went to Party World to have a K-session..
Me and UncleDon agreed that it was so stressing to sing with them..
The proS in the room were Wenting & Gary....
UncleDon and I could only do some occasional silly stuff like rapping Jay's song and screaming at the top of our lungs, trying to get high!

About 26-12-08: Christmas Outing with Peiqi, Jialing & Sinli
This is our annual affair since JC..
We would prepare gifts and cards for each other..
altho it is quite alot of effort but when you see your frenz receiving your gifts, it just makes everything heart-warming and sincere..
Had a lunch (a Very long one) at Shokudo, Heeren..
The place is very well-done up, with different sections..
concept is similar to marche, just that this is Jap version..
each section has a particular type of tables and chairs..
cool and the Best is there's no crowd!!
So we basically took our own sweet time to do out photoshoot!!
Looking forward to our next gathering girls??!

About 27-12-08: Date with UncleDon & Christmas Dinner with Peiqi, Jing Yeen & WenTing
After lunch with UncleDon, made a trip to Spotlight to get some materials for my upcoming project..
Walked around a lil before it was time to meet the girls.
UncleDon sent me to City Hall and the girls were all dressed up!!
Dined at Kenny Rogers which WenTing took the effort to made a reservation..
But it turned out that there wasn't a crowd..
Surprising..
After dinner, we went to the "rooftop" of Marina Square for a photoshoot!!
Not much photos taken because we were trying to catch the sun setting scene..
They started to complain of the heat due to the lack of air-con so we made our way to M.O.F for some hearty, cooling dessert!!
After which we separated for home..
A Great evening in the companionship of friends and gifts..

Met Jing Yeen & WenTing for a module discussion in the afternoon..
After which is a much enjoyed Latinorobics..
We did some broadway, jazzy swing dance..
Love it altho it wasn't that much of a work-out as the normal latino stuff we did..
Following aerobics is our favourite moment!
To Subway!!! and pls Wenting, Italian B.M.T. is nice OK!! like for the eigth time....

About Auntievon's New Slip On!
The following post is image heavy. I love to post huge image!

My bro was supposed to do a photo-essay for his assignment, so he end up taking pictures of me customizing dear's slip ons!

So heres a free tutorial on "How to Customize your Shoe!"

Materials

- 1 pair of plain shoes

- Acrylic Paint

- Artist Sketching Pen ( alcohol-based permanent ink )

- Paint Brush

Step 1

Sketch the design on plain paper!

Well...if you are real good skip this step. Im not, so yea got to put my thoughts on an a4 before everything else.

Step 2

Base coat! Eh.. from experience a base coat gives additional water-proofing. I usually base coat with "White" acrylic or "Plaid" acrylic. Light colours i guess.

Step 3

Blow dry. I don't have all day to "Sun-dry" the paint so yea. this works

Step 4

Put your design on the shoe! With a sketch on the a4, puting everything on takes me around 10 mins. I usually screw everything up if i do a direct freestyle on the shoe.

Step 5

Add other colours. Well to be safe stick to at most 2 colours.

Step 6

Spray a layer of Krylon Fixative or Scotch Gard for additional protection!

Done!

Thats how you customize a Slip On!

Had a semesterly lunch affair with NUS Chem Clique at Vivocity..
Lunch was at White Dog Cafe, finally had a chance to try their Lunch Set out..

POST EXAM ACTIVITY ICHI: GlamRags updates

Exams are finally over, can say it's one of the worst exams ever in my life..
Busy with the launch of GlamRags Collection 3..
Three of us are really putting in alot of effort to bring out the best for everybody..
Carefully hand-picked items in this Collection.. I love every piece of it!!
No matter you have what kind of outing in mind, I think we can provide for all in this collection!

We received feedback that the previous collections are either too formal or too girly...
So for a change! GlamRags decided to try some other designs...
We really spent like 6 hours sieving thru all the designs, 5 hours doing the photoshoot, and more time editing the photos just to bring out the best to everyone...
The clothes are really different from our first two collections..
they are more casual than before but are more versatile than before..
simply adorn several accessories and you have a totally different look!
That's what GlamRags is looking out for!

16th November 2008 - Swissotel Vertical Marathon 2008

after a night of nervous-ness, i finally woke up (with much difficulty) at 6.15am...

OMG! Im IN for it this time!! Dead meat like a pig.

so here's the timeline,

met dear at 6.45am to go for Mac breakfast..

dear was really supportive to accompany me to breakfast as a form of moral support (i think..)

because he kept telling me all the scary stories of how I am so NOT going to make it to the top of the Swissotel 73 stories, 1336 steps to the helipad!!!

I mean YES!!! you heard it right!! it's ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SIX steps in total!!

I must be MAD to be talked into this by our very own Mr Johnson Toh...

So finally met Jing Yeen, Johnson, Ivan, Raymond, Shimin, Guoqiang for the race!!

Did our registration to get out Bib number..

Since we had a lot of time on hand till the actual marathon at 9.28am, we decided to go take some photos and also to drink some Red Bull (I mean I kinda really needed it...)

Fast forwar to 10.05am!!

I AM ON TOP OF SWISSOTEL HELIPAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least that was what I wanted to scream but din...

The view was paranomic.... glad i did the steps just to enjoy the scenery!!

And in Johnson's word: "If you never join, you can go up to their helipad meh?!"

Which is quite true la ahhahaha....

So took many photos and waited for dear Jing Yeen to come up the steps....

We collected our finishers' medal (man! was I happy to get the medal!!!)

okay sounds so sua ku but you really think climb to the top so easy meh...

So after that we still had to wait for the finishers' certificate to be ready in about an hours' time...

Hang around and took many silly photo, including with a Ferrari, the Red Bull Mini Cooper..

After that was a trip to the Safari Food Fest at Suntec as suggested by Shimin..

Nothing really very tantelizing except for the grilled squid..

But I din eat cos fattening leh...

So we headed down to Terrace Fountain Food Court to eat smth proper and den split up to go home...

About Local Short Films.

There are so many movies being shown today but how many of them can really be worth the watch.
Short films is my new found love. Most short films do not make it big and are not broadcasted to a wide audience. The beauty lies in the fact that it is hard to find a well directed short film. The best part is that even poorly filmed short films attempts to bring forth a message and it is up to you to guess or intepret what the director wants to convey.

Officially 3 weeks and 4 days to exams... ...

OH MY GOD IT'S 3 WEEKS & 4 DAYS!!!!!

It's sooner than I thought...

It's already thursday of the week..

ARH!!!! IT"S ALREADY THURSDAY!!!

Haven seen dear for 4 days..

Wonder what is he busy with..

(b) CM 3292 Quiz - study! (but study what??!)

(d) CM3242 CA II - bore to death by all the instrumentation

(e) CM3222 CA II - means exams is in a weeks time! yikes!

(f) Official Vertical Marathon Day - 16th November ( I hope I can make it... ...)

(g) Dear's exams will be over and he is going OBS... while I am still struggling to keep afloat with my exams... *sad*

Haven really been blogging have I...

Dear has been the one updating this space and trying to keep it alive..

Posts are getting fewer these days and the posts seem to have a greater date lag in between (if you happen to notice..)

Been really busy with the opening of GlamRags..

For those who are not updated (most of you shouldn't be cos I kinda broadcasted it), GlamRags was officially founded on 17 Oct 2008!

Managed by Me, Jing Yeen and Wenting, it's a blogshop that sells apparels...

I know I know what you are thinking right now...

Blogshop AGAIN!!

Yes opening a blogshop is like an overblown bubble on the market and it's really getting very competitive...

But what we really wanted was to just have a place to share with people what we feel is nice and how we think dressing up is the best way for a girl to bring out the best in her..

We really want GlamRags to be a place where people can shop comfortably..

As shoppers ourself, we understand the despair you face online-shopping because there are simply some blogshops that deliver poor quality goods..

GlamRags ensure that this will not ever happen because we do quality control and would never ever try and cheat you of your money...

Not even two weeks into our debut, we already launched out 2nd collection!!

We agree that the first collection was a little hard-up on variety, but check out our 2nd collection! there's really a whole range for you to choose from..

although we did announced the opening to all the ppl we know, sales are not overwhelming much to our own disappointment...

friends are not really supporting us and it really gets me thinking what is wrong with our stuff?

so for all those reading this, if there's something you wish to see at GlamRags, please comment k..

We would be happy to improve on it...

But on the lighter note, we still wish to thank all those who supported and that's why we created the second promotion for you!!

Week has passed with new developments. Auntievon and me were busy with our own stuff and have not had time to update this space...

I will now attempt to summarize the week on this single post.

About GLAMRAGS!

Auntievon recently went into partnership with 2 of her friends, Jingyeen and Wen Ting. To bring you ladies out there a convenient way of shopping. With a blogspace only worthy of trendy apparels from tops to dresses, they announced the launch of the online store on 17 Oct 2008.

Launch day saw heavy traffic to the site. Stuff were so hot that sales were made on the first day.Many joined Glamrag's mailing list

Don't be left out! Jump onto the bandwagon for the "hip and trendy". These girls put together, will definitely dish out more style than you could ever imagine.

A week ZOOM-ed past ever since the start of semester PartII..

Been going to the study centre whenever I can with UncleDon to do some revision.

Been a busy week for us with all the upcoming events and activities..

So just some random updates that are worthy of comment over the past week:

1. Monday was first physical lab.. our dear Dr Fan Yipit is so nice to just openly tell off a girl for climbing up onto a stool to look at the burette!! the girl got so red with paiseh-ness!!! my gosh! such a bad start for her.. Anyways, physical lab was a chore and my data is quite off.. sigh! miss the days of Anatlytical lab..

2. As usual, late night lessons on tuesdays. But surprisingly, I dun really mind. At the end of the day, I am all relaxed and I really just treat it like a chatting with JY every lecture! HAHA.. and after the lesson will always have some nice friends to walk to the bus-stop and travel home with.. So I really dun have much to complain about...

4. Wednesday was Hari Raya. So my tuition was cancelled. But since my mind was so preoccupied with stuff, I actually jumped dunring dinner at 8pm, thinking that I have forgotten about tuition!! LOL.. siao arh..!

5. Dental Appointment on thursday cost me a bomb of $100 for filling, cleaning and polishing.. It sets me thinking how much a dentist actually earns for just filling sveral grams of phosphorus in my tooth and 'brushing' my teeth in a more rigorous manner. the whole procedure was done in about half and hour and ka-ching $100 richer!! $100 is $10 more than what I earn from 2 sessions of tuition which i have to put in 3 hrs effort!!! Hai... Dentists are so filthy rich...

6. Friday was nth much. Except that it marks the end of teaching for As. Prof Khoo SB. Im so sad lor... He was such a very nice man and also lecturer. Without him, I could never have understand the Electrochemistry!! Now I shall live in nitemare again as the next (cannot make it) lecturer takes over..

7. Saturday was off to study centre with UncleDon. Once again, we both adorn Green outfit!! HAHA.. After that we just had to collect the new specs that UncleDon made. It was such nice specs...

8. Sunday, spent doing lab rpt.. Die my readings are so off...

And so the week passed, and tmr is another lab session.. But at least I get to see UncleDon. So I am a happy girl..

27/09/2008 's photoshoot.

Auntievon and Uncledon went for a photoshoot on Saturday. This time round a DSLR was brought into action. Although unsure of all the capabilities of the DSLR we tried our best to capture the best pictures.

We had our lunch at Kobayashi at Heartland Mall, started playing around and testing the camera.

The weather that day was freaking hot and we had to seek shelter at MICA building at Clarke Quay. We took most of our pictures at that artsy place.

We wanted to take some pictures with posh cars but there weren't any nearby. Due to the heat we gave up the idea and settled for somemore pictures under the shelter.
